Lions vs Stampeders in the mist || Vancouver Sports Photographers
August 10, 2010 by admin
The mist rolled in to Vancouver on August 7th and we were wondering how many fans were going to pitch up for the game that night. We knew this day would come that we wouldn’t have perfect weather but to our surprise 24,000 strong showed up to cheer on the Lions. Dressed in the retro jerseys {which we love, good job T} the Lions took the field strong but it was the Stamps who walked away with the win. We know the fans were frustrated with the refs and being on the sidelines we couldn’t believe the refs were watching the same game as us. Some brutal calls were made that could have set up some plays that would have won it for the Lions.
It was good to see Jackson come back on the field in the fourth and he moved the play fast and furious. One thing about rain and the new turf: slippery. Huge hits and sliding onto the sidelines. It was a good game to watch, we know the guys are battling, this will turn around.

#42: Anton McKenzie, #48: Joe Henderson and #9: Keron Williams through the smoke.

Flip the coin, Geroy stares you down, game on.

Awesome retro jerseys.

#19: Paris Jackson gets leveled by #14: Milt Collins.
#14: Travis Lulay fakes ‘em out with #25: Jamal Robertson.

Leo we love ya! There was a lot of air time in this game, special thanks to #2: Davis Sanchez for this block on #21: Joffrey Reynolds.

#1: Henry Burris looks like he knows trouble is coming when he sees #91: Sean Ortiz.

Friends! Tim & Jenny {newlyweds} with her Mom and Dad for her Dad’s birthday, and Brenda’s parents take in the game. Serious props to all the fans who came out to the game. The sidelines, next game Jen will be on the blog!

We love shooting panoramics of this stadium.
More air time. #19: Paris Jackson is taken down while #27: Brandon Browner leaps over.

He was on the run all night #32: Yonus Davis.

Our retro look of the game.

Celebrating his tackle #9: Keron Williams. Yes sir, that’s the way to take down the QB #3: Ryan Thelwell 26: Anthony Reddick.

Halftime the Elvi were in the building. We were close enough to tell they were singing and they rocked it.

Seriously what game are they watching?

#7: Jarious Jackson back on the field after months of rehab for surgery on his shoulder.
Does #83: Derick Armstrong have possession of the ball? We thought so and so did the fans, maybe next game we’ll bring some glasses for the ref.

That’s a shake and bake move by #88 O’Neil Wilson if we ever saw it. Sign up for Football-202 for that explanation.

For you Calgary fans we play fair and have a few shots for you…#37: Marc Calixte, Offensive Line Coach: Kris Sweet, #17: Daryll Clark and the team on the sidelines.

The coaches with the team.

#92: Dominie Pittman, #27: J.R. LaRose, #24: Korey Banks and #83: Derick Armstrong
See you at the next game – re-match with the Stamps Friday August 27, 7:30 start.
Little Vivienne || Vancouver Newborn Photographers
August 4, 2010 by admin
Meet Vivienne, she was just 12 days old when we visited her and new parents Emma and Clay. With her full head of hair and blue, blue eyes she took some little naps but just wanted to be awake for the photos! We think she may be quite the swimmer as she is already very good at kicking her tiny feet around.
She is absolutely beautiful and we are so happy that we were able to spend the morning with this new family!

We love family shots that include pets! After all they are a very important part of your life too.

Pure bliss.

It’s a tough job being a model!

The most adorable bathing suit ever!

Emma said she didn’t have many cravings but Bounty chocolate bars were always stocked. Such a good call Emma, much better than pickles and ice cream!!

Summer starts here || Vancouver Sports Photographers
July 22, 2010 by admin
I recently went out to photograph the newly reopened Inter-River bike park in North Vancouver and if you have anyone in your house that needs to get outside this summer and knows how to ride a BMX bike this is the place to go. There is no cost to ride at the park and when I was there one of the boys was having his birthday party. Fantastic idea!

At the end of my day I met a truly awesome little guy. Ethan just turned 4 and as his mom describes him he’s fearless. He’s been riding at this track since he was 2 and he’s right up there with the older kids, at 4 years old! If you head to the track this summer I’m sure he’ll be there ready to race!
The Inter River Park is located just off of Lillooet Road, in North Vancouver. Also in the park are several soccer and baseball fields, lacrosse arena and many hiking trails.

Lions vs Alouettes in the summer sun || Vancouver Sports Photographers
July 21, 2010 by admin
Game two of the regular season on the books and unfortunately for the Lions and the fans we’ll have to put another one in the loss column. It was a low scoring game with Montreal edging BC 16-12. We thought we had it there for most of the game but in the end it went to the defending Grey Cup champs the Alouettes.
Lucky for us it was another beautiful night in Vancouver and the sunscreen was applied to the East side of the field of fans as the sun shone down into Empire Field. Even though the game was a loss, the stadium is a win for fans and players. It was another great night at the field, and we scored free parking again!!

The Lions take the field.

The coin is tossed by John Furlong, CEO of the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and we have a game folks.

We love Dante Marsh.
The sequence on the right reminds us of a video game, maybe old school Super Mario Bros., Marsh stops Luc Brodeur-Jourdain in his tracks.

Our friend zone.Text or email us when you’re going to a game and we’ll find you!!
Along with some of the amazing girls we work with from the Lions: Devon, Jill and Cindy workin’ the sidelines!

For the past three years we’ve participated {well Jen has participated I’ve taken photos and video} of Football 202 and what does Aaron Hunt teach us? “You have to Celebrate IT!” That’s just what Dominie Pittman did. Awesome. I’ll make sure to post Jen’s celebration video soon from last years 202!

Okay this was just as funny as mascot soccer! Green against green in the Sweat for a Sweater challenge. Who won? Ummm the green guy on the right, just look at those legs!

Drumline + Football = Pure AWESOMENESS.

The Seahawks Blue Thunder drumline played at halftime and damn it was music to our ears. Outstanding job!

Do you think they know we’re taking their photo? I think we blend in quite well!

Jen snapped this photo of Coach Buono and it’s my favourite of the night.
